The Crib Service on Christmas Eve has become one of the most popular events of the year and Christmas 2010 was no exception. Holy Trinity was packed with people who came to participate in Where’s the Baby?, which saw a pair of dozy shepherds wander from place to place trying to find where baby Jesus had been born. The script was specially written by Richard Seel and Alison Ball and is reproduced here. We also took a number of songs and adapted them and added new words to give a mixture of music and action. Please feel free to use this script if you wish. It would be good if you let us know if you use it and perhaps gave an acknowledgement - but we won't be upset if you don't! Stage directions are given but will need to be adapted to your local situation. Holy Trinity is a large mediaeval church with Nave and two side aisles. We also have some staging which we can erect in front of the rood screen.
