"The martydom of William"
A depection of a supposed martyrdom by Jews of a boy, William, in Norwich in 1144. The story was published by a monk, Thomas of Monmouth, who resided in a Benedictine monastery near Norwich. It is now recognised as nothing more than a scandalous urban myth, with no foundation in truth.
