We do a lot of work with the local infant and junior schools: Tuesdays see us taking assemblies in both schools and at the end of term, the schools come to Holy Trinity for special assemblies. On Wednesday you can hear the junior choir rehearsing. We also put on curriculum days for the infant school allowing the children to come and use our church space. We have held a maths morning; a letters, numbers, shapes and counting session; weddings; an environmental art morning and the youngest infant children came to make floral decorations in preparation for a service for those that care for us, ‘Mothering Friday’. We are look forward to welcoming the children to St John’s Chapel in December for the regular nativity re-telling that has become part of their timetable. Lunch club, for older members of the community, is held on Tuesdays in the junior school. A team of children is on hand each week to welcome the visitors and serve them a cooked lunch. This is followed by tea, coffee, biscuits and games. The club is valued by old and young alike.
